Wanda Drover’s 4-H Club- April 2014 Club of the Month

By Nebraska 4-H Foundation April 30, 2014

Congratulations to the Wanda Drover’s 4-H Club from Adam’s County for being selected as your April 2014 Nebraska 4-H Club of the Month!
The Wanda Drover’s 4-H Club was established in October of 1962 with 7 charter members. The club is based in Wanda Township of Adam’s County and was started as a livestock club- thus the word Drovers. Today they have 40 members and still have beef, sheep, swine, horse, rabbits, as well as small animals and almost every area of static exhibits.
The Wanda Drovers has always been a very active and involved club, in 4-H activities as well as community involvement. All members give at least one demonstration of task at a club meeting and one encouraged to participate in county contests and activities.
This club has two organizational leaders and numerous project leaders, parents/leaders and junior leaders that have had three generations of club members. The Wanda Drovers has a very proud past and an even brighter future.
Also, applications are being accepted for the May 4-H Club of the Month until Friday, May 23rd. Be sure to inform your clubs about this opportunity to be acknowledged for their achievements, service projects, and awards! Winners will receive a $50 check from the Nebraska 4-H Foundation and will be recognized state wide! Applications can be found at https://ne4hfoundation.org/recognition/
