On Thursday, September 17, the Nebraska 4-H Foundation held its 5th annual Pulling for 4-H sporting clays fundraiser at the spectacular Oak Creek Sporting Club near Brainard. 105 Shooters from across Nebraska enjoyed the great outdoors and took part in shooting and side games for a great cause.
The Charity Shoot helped raise over $10,000 for Nebraska 4-H Clubs and Camps benefiting thousands of Nebraska 4-H families. 26 teams of 4 shooters took aim at 240 targets on a beautiful Thursday afternoon. Taking home the traveling Championship Trophy was the BKR Team of Ainsworth shooting 206 of 240. Individuals on the team were Dennis Bauer, Gary Allen, Butch Allen, and Mark Mauch. Team Runner-up, shooting 194 of 240 was the Hornady Manufacturing team from Grand Island, comprised of Jeremy Lemburg, Jim Messing, Clint Geiger, and Neal Lemberg. Third place went to Cargill-Schuyler, comprised of Herm Krepel, Bill Mulder, Chad Podolak, and Larry Podolak, shooting 183 targets.
The Champion individual shooter, shooting a very nice 56 out of 60 targets, was Butch Allenof Ainsworth. First place required a tie-breaker and Dustin Heins of Columbus was runner-up shooting 56 of 60, and third place went to Douglas Koch of Petersburg, who shot 55 of 60 targets.

The proceeds from this event benefit 4-H programs such as Club Work, Shooting Sports Programs, Camps, State Leadership Programs, and Award Trips.

RAFFLE PRIZES AND SIDE GAMES
Participants will be able to try their luck at side games throughout the day. Winners will earn entries into our selection of raffle prizes. A list of prizes will be available the day of the event.
Raffle tickets are one for $5.00 or 5 for $20.00. The drawing will be for various items.
Corporate Teams --Men and Women Are Invited Entry Fee: $500.00; Re-Entry - $250.00 Rules:

Corporate teams compete for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies.
Trophies will go to the sponsoring organization.
Individuals will compete for prizes per the Lewis Class System.
SPORTING CLAYS SPECS
60 sporting clay targets over 15 automated shooting fields with re-entry allowed. Shells provided free of charge. Shotgun start. All NSCA rules apply. Ear and eye protection required. Shoot officials have the right to change program if necessary and to settle any and all disputes.
