4-H is a positive youth development organization that empowers young people to reach their full potential. A vast community of more than 6 million youth and adults working together for positive change, 4-H enables America’s youth to emerge as leaders through hands-on learning, research-based 4-H youth programs and adult mentorship, in order to give back to their local communities.
The Nebraska 4-H Foundation welcomes gifts that support the
many programs and activities of Nebraska 4-H across the state.
A few of the ways that gifts may be made are:
- Direct Contributions to the general fund or to specific programs
(such as Award Trips, National 4-H Conference, Leader Forums, College Scholarships, camps, etc.) - In-kind gifts
- Memorials and Tributes
- Estate Planning
- County-specific programming
Specifically, the 4-H Foundation Supports:
- The annual PASE/Life Challenge event at UNL, in cooperation with the Nebraska Investment Finance Authority (NIFA)
- The Governor’s Agricultural Excellence Awards, again in cooperation with NIFA
- Premium awards to 4-H youth exhibitors at Nebraska State Fair, capital construction and maintenance at the 4-H Camps (State, South Central, and Eastern)
- National award trips for 4-H youth competitors and college scholarships
- 4-H leader recognition through the Salute to Excellence awards sponsored by Nebraska Farm Bureau
- 4-H recognition and incentives
